FAQs
When should we book?+
For weddings, 8–16 months ahead is a useful starting point. I’m always up for a spontaneous wedding, too—don’t hesitate to reach out if your date is coming up soon. Inquire with your date and plans to check availability.
How does payment work?+
Most packages are split into 2 installments. The first is a non-refundable retainer and is due when you're ready to officially save the date, and the remaining payment is due 3 days before the big day. Payment plans can be customized. Credit card and direct deposits accepted with no additional fees.
Are destination weddings available?+
Yes. I photograph celebrations across California and at destinations. Travel fees depend on the location and are included in your proposal.
When will our photographs be ready?+
Sneak peeks arrive within 72 hours. The timing for your full edited gallery is confirmed with your collection, so you know what to expect.
Do you offer film photography?+
Yes! Every wedding collection includes one roll of film. I photograph primarily digitally, with film woven in for its texture, softness, and a little unexpected magic.
Are travel accommodations included in destination wedding packages?+
Destination collections are tailored to your location, flights, stay, and coverage. Travel costs are included upfront in your proposal, and I take care of my own bookings—one less thing on your list.
What if the weather is bad?+
A little rain can make for beautiful photographs and a memorable day. We’ll plan for covered spaces and umbrellas, and work with what the day brings. If conditions are unsafe, we’ll talk through a safe alternative or reschedule a session.
What is your cancellation policy?+
Your retainer is non-refundable. Once your contract is signed and retainer paid, your date is reserved just for you, and I turn away other bookings for that day.
What if we need to change our date?+
Reach out as soon as your plans change. If I’m available, we’ll update your contract for the new date with a $50 rescheduling fee. If I’m unavailable, I’ll check whether an associate can photograph your day while I handle communication and editing. If that isn’t possible, I’m happy to recommend photographers in my network. The original retainer remains non-refundable.
